What to Expect
If you've never been to an Anglican service before, here's a quick guide to help you feel at home.
What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable in. There's no dress code at St. Paul's. Some people dress smartly, others come as they are — both are equally welcome.
Do I need to know the words?
Not at all. All the words are on the screen or you can have a service booklet and hymn books, if you prefer to have everything you need in your hands. Just follow along at your own pace.
Can I receive communion?
All baptised Christians are welcome to receive communion. If you're not baptised, or you're not sure, please come forward for a blessing instead — just cross your arms over your chest as you approach.
Are children welcome?
Absolutely. Children are a vital part of our community. We have books and games available if you want to keep them occupied. Nobody will mind if they don't "take part".
Special Services & Festivals
Throughout the year we mark the great seasons of the Christian calendar — Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Harvest — with special services and events. We also hold occasional services for village occasions, school visits, and community events. Keep an eye on our News page for upcoming dates.
